Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University in 1999. Immediately after graduating Scott attended the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston where he received his Masters of Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture in 2002.
Scott began his studies in Chinese Medicine at the age of 17 through martial arts and Qigong where he learned how to self-treat disease in the body. Scott then immersed himself in his dream to study acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine by attending the oldest and most prestigious school in the country, the New England School of Acupuncture located just outside of Boston. He graduated from this intensive program with a focus in both Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture. Along the course of his studies, he also became proficient in Kyojung (Korean physical manipulation), Korean hand and foot acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, manaka ion pumping cord treatments, five phase, and Tui na (Chinese medical message).
On top of these studies, Scott’s interest in Traditional Medicine led him to apprentice Grandmaster Zhang Yuan Ming, a classically trained Qigong healer (Energy healing), Medical Massage and martial arts instructor. Scott became one of four students at the time in the United States to be certified as a Mt. Qingcheng Daoist Medical Qigong Therapist and teacher. Scott often utilizes these energy methods during treatments to enhance the effects. Scott has also been studying GM Zhang’s style of internal martial arts since meeting him and has since helped GM Zhang to develop for the first time ever in the United States a Xian Tien Bagua Taiji series of video tapes. Scott continues studies with his teachers several times a year in order to progress.
